Our Commitment to Accessibility

TipCo Automated Systems (TipCo) is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that access to information and technology is a right, not a privilege, a value that is central to our mission of improving access to vital support for vulnerable families and the communities we serve.

We have designed and built our website with accessibility in mind, working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

What Is WCAG 2.1?

WCAG 2.1 is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. It is organized around four core principles, content must be:

  • Perceivable — information must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive
  • Operable — interface components must be operable by all users
  • Understandable — information and interface operation must be understandable
  • Robust — content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of assistive technologies

Measures We Have Taken

In building this website, we have worked to incorporate the following accessibility practices:

  • Semantic HTML structure to support screen readers and assistive technologies
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background elements
  • Descriptive alternative text (alt text) for meaningful images
  • Keyboard navigability throughout the site
  • Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and devices
  • Clear and consistent navigation and page structure
  • Avoidance of content that flashes or blinks in ways known to trigger seizures

A Note on Full Compliance

While we are committed to accessibility and have made significant efforts to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, we acknowledge that achieving 100% compliance across all content and functionality is an ongoing process. Some areas of our website may not yet fully meet all guidelines, and we are actively working to identify and address any gaps.

Accessibility is not a one-time project; it is a continuous commitment. We regularly review our site and will continue to make improvements over time.

Third-Party Content

Our website may include content, tools, or integrations provided by third parties (such as embedded videos, forms, or external platforms). We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content, but we make every effort to work with providers who share our commitment to accessibility.
